Here are some of the MANY prompts I have collected over the years; most of them are from going to the youth speaks Writing circles. So Here you go everyone! Feel free to add on to the list. Only 5 days left!!!!

15. Write a poem Listing all the rules you have broken with out using the words; my, myself and I

17.Pick 2 different people you have seen on the street; describe them, then write about their back rounds and make their lives intertwine with one another
18. You woke up opposite of all your oppressions; what is the first thing you’re going to do today?
19. Use a body part with a sense its not capable of doing ;describe a child hood memory from that body part’s voice.
20. If words were people what would you say to them?

A Seven step prompt:
1 . Chose a person
2. Describe in detail a place you have seen them.
3. Describe their hands
4. What are they doing with their hands?
5. Describe a place and use Metaphor; a place you have never seen
6. What would you ask about their hands? What would you ask about the place you haven’t seen?
